So, to take a step back from the war in Iraq, is it possible that there are other problems that need to be addressed, perhaps just as pressing? Of late I've been growing more and more into what might be termed and eco-friendly mindset, though I am not fanatical. Gas prices will not go down again. Exxon-Mobil knows that they can charge near $3 a gallon, and people will still buy gas. That's a given. Despite criticism and denials, I strongly believe that global warming is a real thing. Are we to ignore it entirely? Is it a big political hoax? Or is it perhaps time that we all make a few small lifestyle changes, that may put more into our wallets and less into the atmosphere? Though such options are not available to everyone, at least to make an example, I have been taking public transit to work, reading during the commute, and saving about $35 a week on gas. I don't claim to be a model environmentalist, but I think there are certain comforts or norms that anyone can scrutinize for him or herself, and maybe save a buck or two.
